Background Checks
The YMCA requires background checks on all
volunteers. Persons with a
conviction
relating to the safety or welfare of children or an offense on
the child abuse and
neglect registry will not be allowed to volunteer. Those with
any kind of felony conviction
in the last five years will also be disqualified from
volunteering, but will have the opportunity to appeal to the
Executive Director.
